Searching For The Formula - Positivity.

Being aware of mental health within yourself and others is ongoing – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This year especially, we are familiarising ourselves with the extra barriers that we as a distanced race are facing, in the race to search for the light at the end of the tunnel.

The global silence is no reason for us to be silent about our thoughts and prayers. The digital world can connect us in ways that we may not have imagined, but it’s an adjustment that we can’t all accept. The value of support and positivity is in more need than ever, and this mental health awareness week is a time to reach out and open our mind. It is a time to turn our thoughts into solutions.

We can tackle this storm together. And we will.

Minor Formula have hand picked some solutions that help us weather our storms, and we want to share our special formula with you:

The sounds
Connecting with music is the ultimate therapy for some, yet undiscovered for many.
Sounds and ambiance help us appreciate settings and feel emotion in ways that silence can’t always feel. Music can cure.

We’ve put together a playlist of the vibes that help turn a grey day into a better day, encourage us to smile and connect with positive emotions and happy memories.

The remedy
Invest in yourself and your surroundings.

Essential oils and candles aren’t just an act of decoration, they set the scene for a calmer moment. There’s a whole range of oils out there, but we swear by Lavender, Rose and Ylang Ylang oils that are widely used in aromatherapy to improve both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Adding a couple of drops of the oil to your bath or shower will allow the steam to spread the uplifting scents and put your mind at ease. Once the scene is set, add some meditation to connect with yourself and your surroundings. The science behind it says it all, but we see deeper powers in the remedy.

Listen to your body, find your inner peace.

The outdoors
When the mind is racing or the mind is still, step outside.

Sounds simple, but it’s easy to forget there’s a whole world of fresh air and fresh thoughts available right outside your door. Explore and familiarise yourself with the ground you step on and enjoy every moment. Appreciate the sounds of the natural world – the most fulfilling sensory experience that contribute to the reduction in anger, fear and stress.

Add exercise to the equation, and you have a naturally healing formula for your mind and body. Exercise helps regulate the cortisol hormone, and probes many benefits including improving one’s self-esteem and self-function. Listen to your breathing and the way you feel as the endorphins kick in.

You can follow Samsons Secrets for exercise tips that reap in these benefits and contribute to your feel good self.

Whatever you feel today or tomorrow, you’ve got this. Ride out the bad days with us, we’ve got you.

Better days are coming.
