Rooted in mud, the lotus rises through its surroundings and blossoms without losing its colour.

It reminds us that difficult conditions do not have to determine what we become. This earth gifts us the nutrients and the lessons within the experiences so that growth can begin.

Difficulty has a way of revealing what comfort can hide. It asks us to look again, choose again and become more conscious of the direction in which we are moving.
